Memorial Jewellery for pets by LuLu & Charles Jewellery

Here we have A Handmade Sterling Silver Cremation Butterfly Pendant for Alison, containing a small amount of cremation ash, in memory of a much loved hearing dog called Holly. A Papillon dog, the French word for "butterfly" being papillon.

Butterflies are a deeply powerful and magical representation of life, many cultures associate the butterfly with our souls and they are often seen as a symbol of spiritual rebirth. Today the butterfly has many symbolic meanings, representing endurance, change, hope and life.

Holly was Alison's right hand man for 14 years and would alert Alison when her babies were crying and needed their Mammy, so Alison could attend to her child's needs.

I think it's remarkable that a dog can be trained to listen for it's owner & give someone so much independence....a truly unbreakable bond.
