Meet the team…Ashley
As you may already know Lulu & Charles Jewellery was set up by myself (Jayne) & my other half ‘Ashley’. Ashley has worked in the Jewellery trade for over 15 years, originally employed by my father (Stephen Bone of Christopher James Jewellers Ltd of the Metro Centre, Gateshead), which is how we first met. After a couple of secret dates, we broke the news and ten years later we married in Sin City, Las Vegas. We now have three young sons and live in the beautiful rural area of Consett, County Durham.
Ashley is a family man at heart, with a well trained eye for all aspects of jewellery as well as a fabulous talent for being able to create by hand, something beautiful with technical efficiency.
He started his trade as a jewellery finisher which involved finishing various items of jewellery including the polishing & plating of gold & silver. His attention to detail & high standards married with my personal eye for design give our business that winning edge.
Working as a husband and wife team we are constantly developing our own skills and design ideas, we’re proud to say that each piece of LuLu & Charles Jewellery is made by hand from start to finish. Combining my skills in design and Ashley’s technical expertise in crafting handmade jewellery we can take your ideas and dreams and hand craft them into a new piece of bespoke jewellery, designed especially for you.
